The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers towards the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering expert services including new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency reported it is alarmed in regards to the significant amount of people depending on social grants for survival.

“That is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no totally functional office devoted to service the area daily.
